The Shaolin Association is an international organization initiated and led by the Songshan Shaolin Temple, aimed at connecting Shaolin cultural institutions worldwide. Its predecessor can be traced back to the Shaolin Europe Federation established in Vienna, Austria in 2010, and the Shaolin North America Federation founded in Los Angeles, USA in 2011, which later gradually expanded to other continents. The core mission of the federation is to promote the further spread of Shaolin culture overseas, facilitate exchanges and learning among Shaolin cultural centers and institutions in different countries, strengthen the connection between Shaolin Temple and its overseas disciples, and uphold the authenticity of Shaolin culture. In recent years, Shaolin Temple has established over 135 cultural centers in 48 countries and regions, with more than 60 million people practicing Shaolin Kung Fu worldwide.
