東北師範大學文學院的前身是東北大學國文系。學院現有中國語言文學系、漢語國際教育學院、古籍整理研究所三個單位，漢語言文學專業在教育部第四輪學科評估中評為B+，擁有中國語言文學一級學科博士授權點，下設5個二級學科博士點和11個二級學科碩士點，是中文專業全國首批12個文科人才培養基地之一。

The predecessor of the School of Literature at Northeast Normal University was the Department of Chinese Literature at Northeast University. The college currently has three units: the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, the School of Chinese International Education, and the Institute of Ancient Book Compilation and Research. The Chinese Language and Literature major was rated as B+in the fourth round of discipline evaluation by the Ministry of Education, and has a doctoral authorization point in the first level discipline of Chinese Language and Literature. It has 5 doctoral programs in the second level discipline and 11 master’s programs in the second level discipline. It is one of the first 12 liberal arts talent training bases in the Chinese language major in China.
